Our take on DinoTrek
The experience focuses on observing and locating dinosaurs rather than building a broader game system, so it gives up progression depth and combat in favor of a guided VR wildlife tour with optional close-up exploration.
What is DinoTrek?
Explore a VR prehistoric landscape from a vehicle called the POD, observing dinosaurs that graze, hunt in packs, swim, and flee.
The experience includes more than 50 dinosaurs across land, water, and sky, with movement options that include leaning, camera recentering, and teleportation. Normal Mode presents full-size dinosaurs, while Fun-Sized Mode places the player among toy-sized versions with a less threatening presentation. Disconnecting from the POD allows teleportation around the environment for closer views and additional discoveries before time expires. A gaze-based menu starts the experience, and keyboard or controller inputs manage recentering, restarting, mode changes, and switching between riding in the POD and exploring on foot. The game also asks players to identify the dinosaur species they encounter.
