Our take on Kingpin — Life of Crime
Gang commands and cash-funded weapon purchases give the shooter a crew-management layer, but that focus leaves less room for a purely solo combat structure. Its revenge arc also centers progression on taking down rival gangs and eventually the Kingpin.
What is Kingpin — Life of Crime?
Kingpin is a first-person shooter set among gangs and urban decay in a past separate from the future.
The story follows a revenge arc, with the player taking control of a street gang and recruiting members from the streets. Recruits can be directed to attack, defend, or crack safes for cash. That money can be spent on weapons before taking on rival gangs and eventually confronting the Kingpin. Gang members who prove unsuitable can be removed to make room for recruits. Combat includes location-specific damage, such as shooting an opponent in the knees or head. The game also offers multiplayer for up to 16 players over LAN or the Internet.
