Is GUARDS! worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Groups of players who want online fantasy shooting for up to 16 participants
- Action fans who want both combat objectives and law-enforcement tasks
- Players who enjoy coordinating attacks around patrols, factions, and environmental weapons
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a slow, low-pressure shooter may bounce off the rapid attacks and immediate combat encounters.
- Solo players or groups that avoid coordination may hit a wall when missions require partners and team planning.
- Players looking for a primarily exploration-focused or puzzle-driven adventure may find the gang missions too combat-centered.
Our take on GUARDS!
The bounce point arrives when a group must coordinate under pressure after reconnaissance ends. Players who prefer solo control or deliberate pacing may struggle once fast attacks, shared objectives, and competing officers demand immediate decisions from the whole team.
What is GUARDS!?
GUARDS!
is an online co-op fantasy first-person shooter set in New Alestead, where players serve as members of an underfunded City Watch. Teams of up to 16 players fight through gang-controlled streets, breaking into locations, arresting suspects, securing contraband, and escorting VIPs. Combat supports improvised weapons such as crates, barrels, planks, doors, tools, and kicks. Stakeout sections involve observing patrol routes, enemy groups, and usable surroundings before an attack begins. Three factions control the city: the Fogtoof Boyz, the Commision, and the Corpse Cult. Each faction has a kingpin, and missions lead players toward locating and assaulting their hideouts.

GUARDS! compared to similar games
Abyssus is also a multiplayer shooter, but it frames its action as a roguelite adventure through hand-crafted levels with brine-powered weapons and weapon refitting. GUARDS! instead centers on online co-op missions in a fantasy city, including arrests, contraband recovery, VIP escorts, faction progression, and kingpin assaults.
