Our take on Devil's Dare 悪魔の挑戦
Rather than centering progression on grinding and leveling, the game makes cash management and permanent death part of each run. Selecting the stage order also changes boss strength, disrupting a fixed campaign sequence.
What is Devil's Dare 悪魔の挑戦?
Devil's Dare is a 2D zombie beat ’em up built around parodying games and horror films from the 1990s.
Up to four players can fight together locally, with enemy numbers and monster strength increasing as the party grows while loot is shared. Four characters offer different roles, abilities, strengths, and weaknesses. Kills provide cash for upgrades or revival, while fatality attacks award more money. Permadeath ends a run when revival funds are exhausted, unless a soul token is available. Remaining cash becomes the score. Players can choose different character and level sequences, with each level featuring a different boss whose strength depends on the selected order.
