As a Galactic Terran Alliance pilot, players engage enemy fighters and larger capital ships across 30 branching single-player missions. The game also includes 20 multiplayer missions, three species with distinct ships, tactics, strengths, and weaknesses, and more than 40 real-time ships. The package contains the original FreeSpace and the Silent Threat mission pack. FRED, the included mission editor, allows players to create custom missions.
