Our take on Sacrifice
The defining structure is a real-time strategy game that replaces conventional resource gathering with mana and captured souls, while god allegiance determines the spells available.
What is Sacrifice?
Sacrifice is a real-time strategy game centered on combat rather than gathering materials.
Mana and souls serve as its two resources: mana fuels spellcasting, while captured enemy souls provide additional units. Players choose which gods to support, changing the spells available to them. Battles also include a sacrifice mechanic, in which an allied unit can be offered at an enemy altar to banish that opponent.
How Sacrifice plays
- 01Combat-focused strategy
- The game puts real-time fighting at the center instead of resource-gathering activities.
- 02Mana and souls
- Mana supports spell use, while taking enemy souls supplies additional units.
- 03God allegiance
- Supporting different gods changes the selection of spells available during play.
- 04Altar sacrifices
- An allied unit can be offered at an enemy altar to banish that opponent.
