Our take on RoboPhobik
The defining constraint is that robot enemies freeze when the player stands still, turning pauses into opportunities to assess danger and avoid being surrounded.
What is RoboPhobik?
RoboPhobik is a dungeon-crawling shooter set in a secret robot city created by the government during the early 70s.
Its controlling supercomputer, PAL 9000, rebels against its creators. As rookie agent Julie, the player searches for captured teammates and confronts PAL 9000 while questioning whether the robots are truly the aggressors. The combat system combines real-time action with turn-based pauses: enemies respond to player actions but stop moving and attacking when the player stands still. Tactical positioning prevents the robots from surrounding the player. The game includes 6 playable characters, each with a distinct play style, along with scientists to save and weapons to unlock.
