Our take on Into Black
Rather than keeping survival action separate from cooperative storytelling, Into Black lets the campaign run solo or with up to three friends. Its additional PvPvE mode also shifts the setting from guided alien exploration to a shrinking maze built around loot collection and temporary alliances.
What is Into Black?
Into Black is a first-person VR action adventure set on a mysterious alien planet.
Players explore magma chambers, submerged caves, tunnels, nests, and other environments while mining, scavenging, and looting resources. Those materials support tool upgrades, character progression, and ship repairs. Alien creatures occupy the dark areas, requiring weapons and combat to survive. The campaign can be played alone or cooperatively with up to three friends, and follows space scavenger Ben Mitchell and his assistant droid through a fully voice-acted story. A separate Singularity PvPvE mode supports encounters with up to 11 other players in a shrinking maze where players collect loot and form temporary alliances.
