What is Hyperspeed?
Hyperspeed is a science-fiction adventure about guiding a 15,000-foot starship through star systems in search of a new world for humanity.
Encounters involve alien societies with different motives, temperaments, and levels of sophistication. Players must quickly choose between confrontation, diplomacy, and trade while deciding how to respond to groups such as the Cicisbeo, Broodmasters, Collectors, and Jot. The ship carries remote-controlled fighters, kamikaze fighters, a plasma weapon, and probes, but these resources may face threats including time-travelling pirates and colossal energy beings. Decisions are made under time pressure, with the game presenting second thoughts as potentially fatal.
