Is Hunted: The Demon’s Forge™ worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Fantasy action players who want cooperative combat with a partner
- Players who prefer alternating between melee and ranged fighting
- Dungeon explorers who want custom levels alongside a campaign
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a quiet or low-combat fantasy adventure may find repeated enemy waves too action-focused
- Those looking for a primarily solo experience may not suit the game's emphasis on paired character abilities
- Players wanting a climbing, platforming, or roguelite structure may prefer games built around those formats
Our take on Hunted: The Demon’s Forge™
The focus on paired combat gives each character a distinct role, but it also makes the experience less flexible for players who prefer handling every encounter alone or without coordinating complementary abilities.
What is Hunted: The Demon’s Forge™?
Hunted: The Demon’s Forge is a third-person dark fantasy action game built around two-player cooperation.
Players choose E’lara, who specializes in ranged weapons, or Caddoc, a swordsman focused on melee combat. Partners explore dungeons, ruins, and towns while fighting waves of enemies with weapons, magic, and cover tactics. Cooperation includes combined attacks, special moves, and healing across the battlefield. The journey also includes hidden routes, puzzles, treasure, and character upgrades. The Crucible editor allows players to build and share dungeon layouts for further exploration and battles. The game uses an Unreal 3-powered fantasy setting and combines shooter-style combat with dungeon exploration.

Hunted: The Demon’s Forge™ compared to similar games
Unlike Sundered: Eldritch Edition, which is described as a chaotic metroidvania, Hunted centers on cooperative third-person fantasy combat, dungeon puzzles, and two contrasting warrior roles. Abyssus focuses on multiplayer shooting, roguelite progression, and weapon modifications, while Hunted adds melee combat, spells, healing between partners, and a dungeon-building editor.
