Is Pronty worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Metroidvania fans who want an underwater setting rather than a land-based one
- Action-adventure players who want a companion weapon with combat and defensive roles
- Players who enjoy changing combat strategies through swappable upgrades
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a low-combat exploration experience may hit a wall when hostile sea creatures and giant bosses become obstacles.
- Players who prefer a fixed combat setup may find the Memory Board’s swappable upgrades and strategy choices a poor fit.
- Players looking for a realistic setting may not connect with a robotic swordfish partner and mutated sea creatures.
Our take on Pronty
Players who want exploration without frequent combat may bounce off encounters with hostile sea creatures and giant bosses, where Bront’s combat and defensive roles come into play. Those who prefer a fixed setup may hit a wall when choosing and swapping Memory Board upgrades to shape combat strategies.
What is Pronty?
Lead Pronty and Bront, a robotic swordfish that serves as a weapon, through Royla’s submerged city.
Bront drives back hostile creatures, clears blocked routes, and protects Pronty during combat. The enemies are mutated combinations of marine animals and discarded debris, with enormous bosses among them. Exploration reveals the origins of the creatures and the pollution affecting Royla. This underwater Metroidvania opens new paths through abilities and upgrades placed on Pronty’s Memory Board. Interchangeable upgrades support varied approaches to fighting. Royla is rendered in colorful line art, accompanied by music from composer Paul Su. Neptune’s Hall also contains Boss Rush, a mode for replaying battles against bosses.
