Our take on Hordes of Hunger
Its defining structure is the combination of escalating arena waves with quests that continue the story and rescue characters within individual runs.
What is Hordes of Hunger?
Hordes of Hunger is a 3D roguelite arena-slasher centered on Mirah’s defense of her homeland.
Each run sends her against increasingly dangerous monster waves across several levels, including a castle keep and the remains of a village. Players select weapons, special attacks, and stat increases, then add abilities during the run to shape a build. Combat supports different approaches, such as nimble swordplay or heavy hammer attacks, while choke points, elevated positions, and destructible structures provide environmental options. Missions within runs can rescue other characters, grant resources, and reveal the origins of the curse. A voiced story develops during and between runs, with quests and character encounters contributing to the wider invasion narrative.
