Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a slow, realism-focused shooter may bounce off the abstract levels and constant movement.
- Players seeking a quiet campaign may hit a wall when facing large enemy groups and frequent combat.
- Players looking for a completed level-creation system may be dissatisfied because the editor is planned for full release.
Our take on Gravelord
Players who prefer deliberate pacing may bounce off the opening combat loop, where running, jumping, weapon switching, and enemy crowds are central. Those expecting the level editor to be available immediately will also hit a wall because it is planned for the full release.
What is Gravelord?
Gravelord is a fast-paced first-person shooter built around running, jumping, weapon combat, and abstract levels filled with enemies and hidden areas.
Players guide Queedo the Gravedigger through a revenge story presented with comic-book scenes and collectible pages. A spectral shovel provides rapid movement, access across hazards, and shortcuts to earlier parts of levels. Tarot Cards grant different combat benefits, but only a limited selection can be equipped at once, creating combinations with weapons and alternate firing modes. Weapon upgrades add a second firing mode and support interactions between guns and those modes. Queedo comments on events with voiced dialogue, while his face reacts during gameplay. An integrated level editor is planned for the game's full release.
