Our take on Dandy Ace
The card system is the main source of variety, with over 1,000 possible combinations. The store text gives little detail about how those combinations differ in practice, beyond their powers and playstyles, so the breadth is clearer than the individual options.
What is Dandy Ace?
Dandy Ace is a 2D isometric action roguelite about a magician trapped inside a cursed mirror by the Green-Eyed Illusionist, Lele.
Runs take place in Lele’s changing palace, where Dandy fights unusual creatures and bosses while collecting magical cards, shards, and gold. Cards can be combined in more than 1,000 ways, with different powers and playstyles shaping each build. The palace has nonlinear progression, and each run brings new challenges and card combinations. Permanent upgrades carry progress between attempts, making Dandy stronger as he works toward defeating Lele and escaping the mirror. Assistants and unconventional allies also appear during the journey.
