Our take on Gran Vitreous
The listing emphasizes randomized encounters and loot-driven progression, but the main activity remains repeated arena shooting. Variety comes from changing zone attributes, equipment statistics, and ship upgrades rather than a story-led campaign.
What is Gran Vitreous?
Gran Vitreous is a PC shoot-'em-up that combines arena-based space combat with action-RPG progression.
A randomly generated galaxy presents zones such as asteroid fields, gravity wells, motherships, and large enemy formations. Zone attributes can change enemy strength, arena size, firing speed, or weapon power. Destroyed enemies drop items and credits used to improve the hull, shields, utility systems, main weapons, secondary weapons, and super weapons. Equipment receives randomly assigned statistics and attributes, including hit chance, item-drop rate, and damage percentage. Enemies also provide experience, allowing the ship to gain levels and skill points. These points can improve shields, firing rate, or item quality as progression leads toward tougher enemies and bosses.
