Play it if you…

- Players who enjoy repeated runs where fallen characters pass progress forward

Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a stable party will hit the deliberate cycle of frequent hero deaths and replacements.
- Those wanting a relaxed or low-pressure pace may bounce off the monster waves and upward run structure.
- Players looking for a single-character RPG may not want to control the full party.
- Players who prefer grounded settings may not connect with a tower climb centered on Medusa and a giant shield.
Our take on Gorgon Shield
The bounce point arrives when hero losses become part of the run rather than a setback to avoid. Players who want to keep a chosen party intact may hit that wall early, while the level 4 second-hero unlock adds another layer of control.
What is Gorgon Shield?
Gorgon Shield combines top-down action RPG combat, side-scrolling sections, dungeon exploration, and survivor-style monster waves in a vertical tower climb.
A party of up to four heroes rides a giant shield, defending it during elevator sections, navigating labyrinths, fighting enemies, and gathering loot. Players control every hero, choose party combinations, manage healing and special powers, and gain upgrades, collectibles, and new allies during each run. Heroes are expected to die, but their treasure and upgrades carry forward to later characters. The game includes 10 playable heroes, including a priest, knight, and rogue. A second hero becomes available at level 4, with further additions at later points. The goal is to reach the tower’s summit and defeat Medusa.
