AdventureIs Fort Solis worth it for you?
We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Fans of cinematic science-fiction thrillers who want a tightly structured story
- Solo players who prefer exploration and recorded narrative clues over open-ended systems
- Players who enjoy episodic games set in isolated, atmospheric locations
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking combat-focused gameplay may find the narrative and exploration emphasis limiting
- Those looking for a long, highly replayable campaign may find the four-chapter, single-session structure restrictive
- Players who prefer bright, populated settings may not suit the dark and isolated mining complex
Our take on Fort Solis
Its focused cinematic structure trades breadth for pacing: the four-chapter format keeps the story concentrated, but leaves less room for extensive systems, open-ended play, or a sprawling campaign.
What is Fort Solis?
Fort Solis is a narrative thriller set at an isolated mining base on Mars.
Engineer Jack Leary responds to an unusual alarm and searches the dark complex while approaching storms restrict his escape. The story unfolds across four chapters, which can be played in one session or separately. Exploration covers surface areas, service tunnels, and departments including Engineering, Medical, and Communications. Audio logs, surveillance footage, and crew-recorded videos add context to events before and after the alarm. Locations can be revisited as the mystery develops. The game features performances from Roger Clark, Troy Baker, and Julia Brown, with visuals and character animation created using Unreal Engine 5. 2.
