Our take on De-Void
The description stresses a broad range of locations and a layered mystery, but its stated investigation tools are exploration and crew logs. The emphasis is on assembling a story, not on varied action mechanics.
What is De-Void?
De-Void is a first-person adventure about Elizabeth Woolgather, a Human Resources Specialist sent to Planet Ancyra after a remote colony crew stops responding.
With help from Wilco, a protocol unit, she explores the colony and tries to piece together what happened. The game spans space stations, forests, deserts, settlements, and military sites. Players examine video, audio, and text logs left by the crew, using their contents to assemble a story involving conspiracy, betrayal, and madness. The colony’s surroundings also carry traces of the crew’s thoughts and emotions. The investigation leads toward a confrontation with an ancient presence. The game includes Steam achievements, trading cards, and controller support.
