Our take on Tacoma
Tacoma gives up conventional combat and puzzle systems to focus on reconstructing a crew’s story through recordings, artifacts, and digital records. Its stated 2 to 5 hour length also limits the scope of that investigation.
What is Tacoma?
Investigate Tacoma Station in 2088 while carrying out an assignment for the Venturis Corporation.
Its surveillance network preserves three-dimensional scenes showing important episodes from the station team’s lives. Scrub backward or forward through these connected episodes and navigate within them to inspect what happened from multiple viewpoints. The inquiry includes opening secured doors and drawers, collecting documents and other items, and reading electronic messages alongside private reflections. The narrative follows six crew members, their connections, experiences, and reactions to an emergency. This nonviolent adventure emphasizes storytelling rather than puzzles and takes approximately 2 to 5 hours. An optional Commentary Mode provides more than two hours of developer discussion about the setting and production.
