Our take on Sea of Dreams
The puzzle-led structure gives exploration a clear purpose, but also makes forward progress depend on solving riddles. Players looking for combat or a broader range of activities may find the experience narrowly focused on searching the ship and piecing together its mystery.
What is Sea of Dreams?
Sea of Dreams is a puzzle-based horror adventure set aboard an empty luxury cruise ship with a 1940s setting.
After waking to find the other passengers and crew gone, the player searches its hallways and rooms for clues and a way to escape. Items discovered during exploration help piece together events on board, while puzzles and riddles block progress. Solving them opens the path forward. The game uses point-and-click adventure conventions, with exploration of an isolated ship, stylized visuals intended to create an eerie atmosphere, and a soundtrack accompanying movement and puzzle-solving. Its central aim is to uncover the mystery of the disappearance and reach safety.
