Our take on Flotsam
The defining structure is a floating settlement built from ocean waste: scavenged plastic, driftwood, and old-world scraps become the materials for homes, workshops, gardens, and production systems while the community travels across flooded remains.
What is Flotsam?
Flotsam is a floating city-builder set across a polluted, flooded world.
Captain drifters as they collect plastic, driftwood, and salvaged materials, then recycle them into homes, workshops, gardens, and other structures. The settlement requires desalinated water, prepared fish, shelter, and connected production systems. Expeditions reach submerged ruins, abandoned factories, forgotten islands, and other remnants of the old world. Survivors and animals can be rescued, while specialists such as a Birdkeeper, Chemist, or Electrician provide access to buildings, quests, discoveries, and new mechanics. Research moves the community from burning firewood toward eel-based electricity, while food treatment and pollution cures address diseases affecting the population.
