Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a combat-centered strategy game may hit a wall because the described systems focus on settlement management, production, and exploration.
- Players wanting a tightly directed campaign may find the open-ended settlement arrangement and self-paced construction less suitable.
- Players uninterested in managing food, animals, settlers, and production tasks may disengage once the community grows.
Our take on Havendock
The bounce point arrives when additional survivors increase the number of needs, jobs, and production duties to manage. Players who prefer a small, fixed settlement may hit that population-management system before reaching the later technology and exploration options.
What is Havendock?
Build a settlement on the ocean for castaways and new survivors.
Gather materials from floating debris, construct facilities, and organize the town at an individual pace. Farms provide food, while cooking and animal care support the community. Assign settlers to tasks and production, then teach them work roles that automate selected duties. Research and construct technology ranging from water distillers and coffee makers to robots, power plants, a submarine, and a rocket. Boats open routes to islands, while submarine expeditions reach underwater resources such as ores and oil. An underwater farm is also available. Character creation, settlement layout, resource management, exploration, and population needs form the colony-building workflow.
