We tell you who should skip it, too.
Play it if you…
Good fit- Groups of friends or family looking for multiplayer arena fights rather than a solo-only game
- Players who want to switch between team battles and free-for-all matches
- Solo players who want wave-based combat with a hardcore difficulty option
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players who want a consistently fast pace may find the danger-triggered slow-motion pauses interrupt the action.
- Players seeking a long campaign or varied progression may find the focus on arena matches and enemy waves limited.
- Players looking for a single-player experience only may not want a game centered on multiplayer battles.
Our take on Retimed
Players who struggle to react under pressure may hit a wall when danger triggers the slow-motion bubble: the pause creates time to respond, but the match still revolves around dodging incoming projectiles and returning to fast movement.
What is Retimed?
Retimed is an arena shooter for 1–4 players, with online and offline multiplayer, plus a single-player mode.
When a player faces danger, time slows and a bubble forms around them, creating a chance to react to incoming projectiles. Matches alternate between quick movement and these slower moments. Players can choose team matches or free-for-all fights, and battle across 8 arenas. The single-player mode pits players against waves of enemies and includes a hardcore Bulletmaster difficulty. The game also offers online opponent search. Its characters include Bintain, Violet, Psycho, and Yowie, each with a brief personality description.
