Our take on Explosionade DX
Rather than following a standard continuous level structure, the game organizes its action around challenge-room encounters. It also combines a prototype mech, destructible surroundings, zoom control, and adjustable gameplay speed within that room-based format.
What is Explosionade DX?
Explosionade DX is an action game in which an experimental mech fights alien forces inside subterranean strongholds.
Its weapons include rechargeable MegaNades and a machine gun that can damage destructible environments. Combat takes place across dozens of challenge-room-style areas, with zoom controls for close views or a wider view of the action. Alien enemies can run, dodge, fire, and throw grenades. The game also features screen-filling bosses in the depths, multiple difficulty modes, gameplay speed control, and local two-player cooperative play. The Steam version adds leaderboards, achievements, and trading cards.
