Play it if you…
Good fit- Rhythm-game players who want to practice piano melodies through timed keyboard input
- Piano learners who prefer simplified notation over mapping notes across 88 keys
- Players who want adjustable note patterns and access to MIDI-based songs
Skip it if you…
Saves you a refund- Players seeking a full piano layout may find the eight-key mode restrictive.
- Those wanting a broad rhythm-game structure beyond two modes may find the format limited.
- Players who do not want to source or use MIDI songs may have less relevant content to play.
Our take on EasyPianoGame
The compact keyboard approach trades full-piano range for simpler input: the second mode uses eight PC keys rather than 88 piano keys. That limits direct representation of the complete keyboard layout and its pitch range.
What is EasyPianoGame?
EasyPianoGame is a rhythm game built around MIDI files.
Its Falling Notes mode converts MIDI songs into note patterns with adjustable difficulty and play options using 4 to 10 keys. Notes move downward and require timed presses on matching keyboard keys. A second mode uses simplified musical notation and eight PC keyboard keys for playing melodies without mapping pitches across a full piano layout. The interface retains the structure of standard notation while removing note pitch. MIDI songs are widely available, and either mode can be used with different songs.
How EasyPianoGame plays
- 01Falling notes mode
- MIDI songs are converted into timed patterns whose difficulty and key count can be adjusted.
- 02Variable key counts
- The falling-note mode supports configurations from 4 through 10 keys.
- 03Simplified notation mode
- A notation system maps melodies to eight PC keyboard keys without requiring pitch memorization.
- 04MIDI song support
- Songs can be loaded through MIDI files, which the vendor describes as commonly available.
