Our take on Pulsen
The bounce point arrives when songs move beyond basic four-arrow timing. Players who cannot maintain precise input across escalating patterns may find the higher-difficulty charts demanding, while flashing-light sections create a separate issue for users sensitive to that effect.
What is Pulsen?
Pulsen is a music and rhythm game based on pressing four directional arrows as they pass across the screen in time with each song.
It includes 85 tracks, with five or more difficulty settings for every song and over 440 charts overall. Scores depend on timing, while each chart uses its own patterns and play style. Song modifiers, settings, arrow note designs, and effects provide ways to adjust sessions. Play solo or locally with a friend using a dance pad, keyboard, game controller, or drum set controller.
Workout Mode tracks exercise intensity while songs play without pauses. The game also supports remappable controls, dynamic resolutions, different aspect ratios, mouse input, and in-game score comparisons with friends on Steam. Some sections contain flashing lights.
