Our take on Desolation
The defining detail is the one-to-six-player investigation of a quarantined city, combining survival against creatures with close attention to environmental sound and clues about a missing taskforce.
What is Desolation?
Desolation is a horror game set in a quarantined city where players investigate the disappearance of Taskforce 738.
It supports one to six players in online co-op, allowing solo play or teamwork with up to five others. Players explore dark, deteriorated environments, face creatures, listen to surrounding sounds, and work toward escaping the city. Randomised gameplay elements create different experiences between sessions. The story includes clues about the city and the missing taskforce, while future updates are planned to complete the narrative. Colonel Rykov sends players to investigate the previous taskforce, whose communications have stopped.
