Our take on COVEN
Its focus on fast retro combat and a single revenge journey leaves less room for broader genre variety. The first episode establishes the story while two additional episodes are planned for early access, rather than presenting the full multi-period campaign at once.
What is COVEN?
COVEN is a fast-paced retro first-person shooter and slasher about a young woman resurrected after being burned for witchcraft.
In the first episode, her pursuit of revenge crosses villages, temples, forests, and other locations in different periods. Combat combines early modern weaponry with magic, while dashing, sliding, and slowing time support survival. Eating the flesh of recently deceased enemies restores health. Exploration reveals secrets linked to old gods. Two additional episodes are planned for early access, each continuing the story in a different time and place. The soundtrack is by John S. Weekley, also known as Primeval.
