The focus on fast, violent on-foot PvP gives up vehicle handling and driving simulation. Progression also centers on audience appeal, abilities, and cosmetics, leaving less room for the tuning and career-management systems found in vehicle racers.
What is DeathSprint 66?
DEATHSPRINT 66 is an on-foot racing game set in a violent entertainment network in 2066.
Players take the role of Clone Jockeys and compete in 8-player PvP races across dangerous obstacle courses. Runners can jump, drift, slide, and chain traversal moves to build HYPE. Tracks contain deadly traps, difficult traversal sections, and opportunities to attack rivals. Collecting Tributes grants access to abilities such as Enraged Charge, Seeker Drone, Mag Shield, and GIGA SAW, adding tactical choices to each race. Entertaining the audience increases rewards and raises FAME rank, which attracts sponsor interest and unlocks more cosmetics for the runner. An endless supply of clones allows contestants to continue racing after fatal incidents.
