The Sun’s light acts as a pursuing threat: the Mechaplex is both the crew’s base and their vehicle for staying ahead of it.
What is Dark Moon?
A solar storm has destroyed electronics, and the Moon’s main communication relay has fallen into sunlight.
As a pilot, traverse the lunar surface in the Mechaplex, a mobile engineering vehicle, and try to contact Earth while staying ahead of the Sun, which destroys what it reaches. Scan terrain and obstacles with drones, gather minerals, build facilities on the Mechaplex, research technologies, and develop prototypes for resource collection or faster movement. Manage crew members, food, and shelter as survivors may join the convoy with abilities and building platforms. Decisions about whom to accept or remove affect crew relationships and may lead to a revolt. Locations and events can vary between playthroughs.
