Our take on The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian
Rather than centering an RPG on combat, exploration, or character advancement through battles, this game places rulership and social order at the center. Its progression follows a prince from childhood to emperorship, making political decisions, personal identity, and religious duty the main structure.
What is The Life and Suffering of Prince Jerian?
Play as Prince Jerian, beginning in childhood and progressing toward the imperial throne in a narrative role-playing game set in the Blessed Arknian Empire.
Society is divided by birth, with clergy, nobles, and commoners bound to prescribed roles. As crown prince and future emperor, Jerian must assess the treasury, rival estates, religious authority, noble traditions, and demands for equal rights. Decisions affect the Empire’s balance of power, personal ambitions, relationships, and character.
Allies, family members, subjects, nobles, and commoners respond to the attention and patronage they receive. The game also presents Jerian as Primate and keeper of the Pact between the Twins and the living, placing the fate of that agreement among his responsibilities. It takes place in the same universe as The Life and Suffering of Sir Brante.
