The bounce point arrives when completing the assignment still does not secure survival. Teams must activate an escape route, sometimes with extra repairs or equipment, and a route may not hold everyone. Players expecting the objective screen to mark the end of danger will hit the game's extraction pressure there.
What is CRYO?
CRYO is a cooperative survival horror game for 1–4 players, with solo play also supported.
Teams of technicians investigate abandoned Antarctic research sites, restore damaged systems, recover equipment, solve puzzles, and complete changing mission objectives. Creatures use movement, sound, darkness, and environmental cues to hunt, while different enemies require different responses. Players can search for supplies, monitor areas with cameras, track movement with detectors, create distractions, hide, crouch, and break line of sight. Facilities include research centers, underground sites, industrial locations, and stranded vessels, each with its own hazards and escape methods. Completing objectives is not enough: the team must activate an escape route, some of which have limited capacity. Multiple difficulty settings alter resources and creature behavior.
