Our take on Company of Heroes 2 - The British Forces
The faction’s defining trade-off is also its constraint: development choices favor mobility or defense, so supporting one approach means giving up strength in the other. Players must accept that specialization rather than retaining equal access to both priorities.
What is Company of Heroes 2 - The British Forces?
The British Forces is a standalone multiplayer addition to Company of Heroes 2, introducing a British faction with its own technology choices, infantry, team weapons, vehicles, upgrades, commanders, and abilities.
Its progression asks players to weigh mobility against defensive strength, with development choices shaping the later stages of a match. The release includes eight multiplayer maps and supports matchmaking on existing Company of Heroes 2 maps for players without another COH2 product. Battles can also be played against AI opponents in skirmishes, and the faction can face the other existing armies in multiplayer.
The package adds 15 distinctive units, including the Churchill Crocodile and RAF glider, plus staged air and artillery abilities. Motion-captured animation data updates the new faction and previously released armies.
