Our take on Chess Sudoku
The game focuses on Sudoku variations rather than a broad set of puzzle formats. Its star-based unlock structure also means access to further puzzles depends on solving those already available.
What is Chess Sudoku?
Chess Sudoku combines standard Sudoku rules with chess-inspired restrictions.
The game includes 40 puzzles from the Knight and King variants: Knight Sudoku prevents matching digits from being a knight’s move apart, while King Sudoku prevents them from being one diagonal move apart. The vendor also describes Queen Sudoku puzzles, in which each 9 cannot share a row, column, 3×3 box or diagonal with another 9; these were planned as a free update. Puzzles unlock as players solve puzzles and earn stars. Hints for the puzzles were written by Simon Anthony and Mark Goodliffe. The vendor says frequent updates add puzzles.
How Chess Sudoku plays
