Our take on Hexle
Rather than using standard decimal Sudoku values, Hexle shifts the genre into hexadecimal notation and adds binary placement limits within each square. Its recurring daily puzzles and weekly 16x16 boards also extend the usual single-grid format with scheduled challenges.
What is Hexle?
Hexle is a number puzzle game based on Sudoku, using hexadecimal values and an additional binary rule system.
Values cannot repeat along a line or within a 4x4 region, while each tile also has limits on which values it can accept. An introductory section presents the rules before generated puzzles become available across several difficulty levels. The game includes daily puzzles and weekly 16x16 boards. Completing grids unlocks color palettes, with light and dark options available immediately. Progress can be paused and resumed later, with one save position available for each difficulty that can be continued or cleared. Hexle uses a minimalist visual style and is controlled entirely with a mouse.
