Our take on Charge!
The store presentation gives the game an adventure label, but its description focuses almost entirely on squad construction, equipment combinations, relics, and escalating battles. Narrative progression, exploration, and other adventure elements receive no comparable explanation, making the strategic combat loop the clearest indication of its scope.
What is Charge!?
Charge!
is a strategy adventure game built around assembling and configuring a combat team. The opening roster contains three champions, while additional partners join as progress continues, allowing a final group of up to 10 members. Each champion can receive a battle role and equipment suited to different approaches, including defensive tanks, high-damage mages, one-hit attackers, and ranged hunters. Armor pieces can be assembled into sets and paired with weapons that have different effects. Battles also provide relics, which grant benefits to the entire team. Enemy varieties, group sizes, and strength rise over time, requiring changes to the team setup for different opposing lineups. The game presents repeated combat encounters focused on squad composition, equipment combinations, and adapting after defeats.
