Our take on Artifice: War Tactics
The defining detail is the exposed attack-zone system: enemy threats appear on the battlefield before they resolve, making evasion and positioning central to each turn.
What is Artifice: War Tactics?
Artifice: War Tactics is a turn-based roguelike set in a medieval fantasy world.
Enemy attack zones appear before attacks resolve, so players can plan movement, evade threats, and exploit enemy patterns. Champion abilities combine into chain reactions involving piercing, burning, poisoning, and pulling enemies toward traps or allied attack ranges. The game includes 12 champions with different movement patterns, abilities, and upgrade paths. Missions include Ambush, Escort, and Capture objectives across four biomes with distinct hazards. Players survive waves of enemies, raid provinces for loot, customize champion abilities and stats, and challenge bosses in strongholds to claim territories and rewards.
