Our take on Chainsaw Warrior (Classic)
Rather than offering an open-ended campaign, this adventure compresses its central mission into a 60-minute rescue attempt. Its structure also comes from a solo board game, placing a single player against a fixed scenario, a broad enemy roster and a visible countdown.
What is Chainsaw Warrior (Classic)?
Set in 2032, Chainsaw Warrior follows a lone ex-special forces soldier fighting through Manhattan after a spatial anomaly opens a passage to another dimension.
Air strikes, ground attacks and weapons of mass destruction have failed, leaving him to confront zombies, mutants, traps, Chaos Agents and other hostile creatures. The objective is to reach the invasion's origin and defeat Darkness, the intelligence directing the assault. The game gives the player a 60-minute limit to save New York. Originally released as a solo board game in 1987, this digital version updates and reworks that experience for modern play. It is intended for one player and combines adventure, role-playing and strategy elements.
