Our take on DOKAPON! Sword of Fury
Its competitive wealth system makes social rivalry part of the progression, but that focus sacrifices a conventional cooperative RPG structure. Adjustable rules can shorten sessions or alter balance, while the board-game format keeps outcomes tied to player interaction and tactical choices.
What is DOKAPON! Sword of Fury?
DOKAPON!
Sword of Fury combines board-game movement with RPG progression and competitive multiplayer. Players spin a wheel to travel across an overworld, fight monsters, buy weapons, level up, and confront bosses. The winner is the player with the most assets at the end. Alliances, theft, plunder, betrayal, tournaments, and special events provide different ways to build wealth. Battles use four attack choices and defenses based on a rock-paper-scissors-style system. Up to four players can play locally, while online multiplayer supports distant matches. Autosave allows sessions to be paused and resumed. Speed settings reach 5x, and options can alter the number of weeks, game balance, magic, Wallace appearances, and battle music.
