Our take on Card City Nights
The card system receives prominent attention, but the overall package is a single-player adventure with a stated 8+ hours of content. That makes the collection and battle mechanics part of a defined campaign rather than the basis for an extensive, ongoing card game.
What is Card City Nights?
Card City Nights combines a single-player adventure with a card battle system.
Players explore a city, encounter unusual characters, visit strange locations, and battle to obtain eight legendary cards needed to enter the city’s largest competition. Battles use 180 unique cards and focus on placing cards so they connect and create combos, rather than following a traditional fantasy trading-card format. Booster packs are collected through progression in the adventure, with no in-game purchases. The game offers more than eight hours of gameplay and includes a soundtrack combining jazz and hip-hop. Characters from the Ludosity universe appear throughout the card collection.
