Our take on Bearnard
Arrow accuracy controls card retention: missing a shot removes the selected card. This connects archery execution with deck management, making each combat turn depend on both ability choice and shot placement.
What is Bearnard?
Bearnard is a single-player adventure that blends real-time platforming, turn-based card combat, archery, and physics-driven puzzles.
When an arrow misses, the card attached to that shot is lost, tying aiming to decisions about which cards to use. Explore forests, mines, snowy peaks, castles, and dungeons, battling foes, uncovering secrets, gathering artifacts, and adding cards across four rarity tiers: common, rare, epic, and legendary. Card effects include healing, defense, and crowd control; elemental cards can also be paired to trigger combos. Use the surroundings to solve challenges, such as firing at levers, setting platforms in motion, dropping chandeliers, or hurling crates. Bonus stages award gold, silver, or bronze medals. Bearnard’s owl companion Blue can fetch out-of-reach objects and bring cards.
