Our take on Banish
The changing locations and entity behavior add round-to-round variation, but they also make familiar routes less dependable. The focused exorcism structure trades broad activity variety for repeated planning around items, tasks, hiding places, and the ritual.
What is Banish?
Play as a priest sent by the local church to Luxford Mansion after a failed exorcism attempt.
Investigate what happened to Mrs. Margaret Luxford, who withdrew from social life after her husband’s unexplained suicide. Find banishment items, complete tasks, and start the ritual while a possessed entity hunts through the mansion. Broken mirrors can let the entity move, and its position is unpredictable.
Ritual sites, item locations, locked doors, and mirror locations can differ between rounds. Hide in closets, revive friends, and use a hand mirror to show the entity its real face, creating time to continue the ritual. The exorcism grows harder as progress continues and ends with a dangerous run against the entity. Normal, Hard, and Nightmare modes are unlockable.
