Our take on Armoured Commander II
Instead of centering destruction or guaranteed progression, this roguelike wargame makes survival the main structure. Tactical choices unfold in turns, while a commander’s death can terminate the campaign and crew development carries the risk of permanent loss.
What is Armoured Commander II?
Lead a tank and its crew through more than 50 World War II campaigns set across Europe, North Africa, Southeast Asia, and the Pacific.
Each combat day generates new terrain, weather, enemy encounters, and battle durations. Over 1,300 historically based unit types, vehicles, support units, missions, and regions shape the campaigns. Turn-based play allows time to consider each decision, while crew members gain experience, improve abilities, and face injury or death. A campaign can end when the commander dies, or continue with replacement tanks and crews. Finished crews can carry on into another campaign. Mods are supported, and the game includes its source code apart from certain assets.
