What is KeeperRL?
KeeperRL is a retro dungeon simulator combining roguelike, RPG, and strategy elements.
Players act as an evil keeper, excavating a mountain, building rooms, recruiting minions, and preparing them for exploration and combat. Dungeons can include sleeping areas, training rooms, crafting stations, traps, guard zones, and choke points across multiple vertical levels. Tactical fights use simultaneous turns, with direct control over minions and combat effects such as blindness, poison, severed limbs, and decapitation. Procedurally generated worlds contain locations to raid, resources, treasures, and dangers. Up to 10 factions offer different keepers and dungeon styles. A keeper's death ends the run. Steam Workshop provides player-made dungeons and mods.
