Our take on Oath of Miko
The bounce point arrives when players expect the campaign to expand: the game has limited content, no further updates, and discontinued English development. Those looking for a long-running strategy RPG may reach its endpoint before the resource and territory systems have much room to develop.
What is Oath of Miko?
Oath of Miko combines turn-based strategy, simulation, and roleplaying elements.
Combat uses traditional wargame structure with a small set of active skills. The campaign progresses by date, requiring decisions about how to spend available actions and obtain or assign resources. Repeated defensive battles must be fought while territories are reclaimed from the invading demons. The story follows Venusi, a mixed-blood girl who takes up arms after a demon attack kills her friend. The game is complete, but its content is limited and the English version is no longer being developed. A source project is available through the Steam beta branch for free modification and non-commercial publication.
