Our take on Ancient Battle: Hannibal
Its campaigns center on Hannibal’s conflict with Rome, with missions outside the tutorial available from either side.
What is Ancient Battle: Hannibal?
Ancient Battle: Hannibal is a strategy game about battles of the Second Punic War between Carthage and Rome, following Hannibal’s campaign across Italy, Spain, Sicily and Africa.
Its campaigns cover battles from different stages of the conflict, including Lake Trasimene and Cannae in Italy, and Bagradas in Sicily, a battle from the First Punic War. The game uses an upgraded version of the system developed for Ancient Battle: Rome, with multi-level hills among its additions. A seven-mission tutorial campaign ends in a skirmish; the Sicily campaign has four missions, and the Italy campaign has eight.
Missions outside the tutorial can be played from either side. Players command armies drawn from 38 ancient unit types and use strategic movement, flank attacks and combat analysis.
