Our take on A Year Of Rain
Players who expect a solo-first campaign may hit a wall at the story mode: it is built around two players. Skirmish also focuses on 2v2, so those looking for competitive one-on-one matches may find that format a mismatch.
What is A Year Of Rain?
A Year Of Rain is a real-time strategy game about building bases, gathering resources, recruiting units, and fighting alongside or against other players.
Choose one of three factions, then lead an army with one of its heroes. Structures and units can be upgraded, and players select one of three roles to access special technologies and coordinate team strategy. The campaign is built for two players and follows a story of two friends seeking to end a cycle of conflict. Skirmish mode features 2v2 matches, while an AI companion can also be directed to deploy troops. Integrated build orders are available for players new to the genre, and match statistics support competitive play.
