What is 梦蝶?

Follow a butterfly through Qiyunzhou, a hidden fantasy realm where an adventurer seeks an immortal who can grant a wish.

The game presents ink-wash scenes and builds its puzzles around Chinese characters. Objects can become characters associated with their meanings; splitting and recombining those characters creates new words, which can represent new objects. Players use these transformations to change the world’s structure and pass blocked paths. The story connects character meanings with scenes, objects, allusions, and traditional cultural ideas.
