Our take on Dullpain
Rather than centering the RPG on combat, stats, or equipment, the game places repair work, conversations, and memory at the core. Its structure also shifts among eight characters and many possible conclusions, replacing a single heroic path with interconnected personal stories.
What is Dullpain?
Play as Jingwen, the young owner of a long-established repair shop, in a 2D side-scrolling game built around interaction and storytelling.
Repairs extend beyond everyday objects to memories. Branching missions, conversations with NPCs, phone calls, and message events shape how characters and their stories are revealed. Eight controllable characters each have an independent, complete storyline, with different perspectives connected to Jingwen’s ability to repair memory. The game takes place across different times, spaces, and locations. Character illustrations, CG scenes, cutscenes, and voice performances accompany the narrative. Hundreds of branches and multiple endings let the story reach different conclusions, while small interactions add details drawn from daily life.
