Our take on Mirages
Its defining structure is a branching horror narrative in which player choices shape character destinies and lead to two different endings.
What is Mirages?
Mirages is a 3D side-scrolling narrative horror game set in Yichuan, a small town in the Republic of China.
After a strange marriage disrupts the balance between the living world and the underworld, Yao Lu investigates ghosts, superstition, warlords, and an emerging conspiracy. The story includes multiple branches and event details that reveal the town’s history and crisis. Choices influence character destinies and lead to two different endings. Gameplay includes puzzles, stealth sections, and quick-time actions during encounters with supernatural threats. Traditional Chinese folklore elements include corpse-walking, psychic practices, ghost marriage, sacrifice, and puppetry. Full voice dubbing, animated scenes, and 3D environments present the story through different character perspectives.
